VST Instrument Help

I've been using cubase for quite a while, and I had a problem that i haven't resolved.

When I record a VST instrument, the playback sounds slightly different than what i was hearing in my headset.

I tried exporting the song to see if it was just cubase, but the exported song sounds different too.



I'm using,

Cubase 5
ASIO4ALL v2 Driver

(i've tried different drivers)

Are you talking about plugging in the headphones to a keyboard and then the recording doesn't sound the same?

If so it's because cubase is simply recording MIDI data. So the voices in your keyboard are different than the voices in your computer.
