Does anyone know of a plugin that would allow me to combine two plugins and make them into one? Lemme try to explain a bit better. In my software, I only have one insert point on each channel, and I would like to be able to, say, compress and eq on the same channel. How it is now, I can only do one at a time, but I would like to be able to use both with only the one insert point.

Thanks a bunch!

Try the vst rack plug here: http://vincent.burel.free.fr/download/ (at the bottom). I haven't used it, but supposedly you can load several inserts into each slot.

You could also render the file down with a given effect and then reimport it to add additional effects.

FFX-4 works great, however, it only allows you to rack DX plugins.
You would also need a VST to DX wrapper if you wish to rack VST effects in FFX-4.
I posted a little about this here.

You could get a multi-dynamic plug-in like the Waves Audio Track. This has EQ, compression (can work as limiter), gate and output level.
Im sure there are other companies that make these type of plug-ins also.

Check out Art Teknika's "Console" (www.console.co.jp i think, if not try google), surprised nobody has mentioned it yet. Does exactly what you're asking for.

What software are you using?

I'm using Cubasis VST 3. Its older software, but it works well. I would like to upgrade to something else soon, but I need to scrape up the money!

I'd like to do that, but not sure if I can afford it right now, and most definitely don't like the idea of the Limewire crap, either.

Thanks, everyone for the links and advice. I'll check these out and let you guys know!!

I went with the FFX4 and a DX wrapper. It works great, no hitches whatsoever. Thanks for all your ideas and opinions; they helped a lot!!
