ok, so i now have cubase le. i bring up my ezdrummer in my vst instruments, and i select them for channel 1. i bring up the midi editor, and the first problem is i cannot hear the drum sounds being auditioned when i click the keys on the vertical keyboard. i program some beats, but when i play the events it doesnt produce a sound. i have the input selected as "all midi inputs" and the output as "ezdrummer." what am i doing wrong? is there some other parameter that i am missing? i am a little new to the computer based DAW. even when i play a groove on ez, i bring up the mixer and i can see the levels on the midi channel, but no levels on the in meter. please help!

Can you hear any other sound out of Cubase? How about the metronome, can you hear that? Turn on the metronome and select Play on the transport. You should hear the metronome clicks.

i can hear...

the metronome plays fine. i can hear ezdrummer when i open the grooves and play one. but when i write the midi parts, and play, there is no ezdrummer performance.

Can you drag one of the grooves from ezdrummer to the midi track? Does that play? Maybe some screenshots might help, too. There might be some limitations with Cubase LE. Check out the compatibilty chart at Toontrack's website.

finally got it...

in case any newbs like me read this thread, i figured out that i did not have the drum map selected...oh well live and learn! got ez drummer up and running and sounding killer. just wanted to post the answer in case anyone overlooks this little thing. thanks!
