VS880 digital out

I would like to use the digital outs from the vs880ex after I have stored a scene. Then, I could load in on my PC and convert it to MP3 format for delivery to my WEB Site.
The trouble is, I don't know what format the 880ex dumps to and what software I need to convert it to a WEB format such as MP3.

Any Suggetsions?
 
I use a Gadgetlabs soundcard with sp/dif and Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 which comes with some mp3 converters. You could probably use any software, but you will need the sp/dif soundcard to do a digital copy, and that's not a transfer, but a copy.
