I need some help. I have some recordings on my vs-880 I'd like to get over into my mac and use with Logic Audio. I have the process down with the MIDI synchronization and using the VS as the slave to the MAC. The only problem i am having is that there seems to be some pops and such when I do it that way. it's all sync'd up but at different moments it peeks out on the meter with these spikes.
I have tried to play the vs-880 into Logic audio by itself with no MIDI and there is no problem. but that does me no good, cause i have 14 tracks i have to get over onto the mac sync'd up.
I'm using a Mac man/midiman interface into an audiowerk II card, going out of the sp/dif from the roland. It just seems to me that the midi interface is causing the problem. I have used it this way b4 w/o any problems. if anyone has any suggestions, please HELP ME!!

Since you are using the SPDIF you need to make sure the VS is setup as the master for midi sync and digital clock. Make sure logic is set for external sync on Midi and Digital Audio.

The pops are most likely caused because there are 2 clocks and you may not everything setup right for master/slave. Set the VS as your master for everything and you should be okay.
