Hey guys,
I am the chief engineer at Terminal Sound in Waterury, CT.. First I would like to start by saying we use a vs2480HD and love it very much. We've had it for 2 years and I'm still learning some new things about it. The editing features are easy to use once you get the hang of it and the sound quality is fine. However, for heavy guitar music, I find that the kick and the distorted guitar clash to make my mix crackle. I know for fact that the signals did not clip going in. I've contacted Roland and they've said that early modles like mine had an input board distortion ploblem. So I brought it to the nearest service center and will be getting it back today. I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem in their mixdown.
