I'm having trouble with my 1680 in the record mode. For some reason, I am getting a signal input, but it does not come thru to the headphones or the recording track. The signal only shows up on the screen when the setting is PRE vs POST. Not all the inputs do this - what am I setting wrong?

Well, you might check the SOLO/EDIT setting - I've almost thrown my 1680 out the damned window thinking that I was going crayzzeeeeee, and it turned out to be one of the un-used tracks was "solo-ed" and (of course) all the others were muted. Roland docs are about as useful as the proverbial "one-legged man at an arse-kicking contest" - hey, hope this helps - good luck with the 1680.
