I am getting an amp for my son's birthday (he will be 8). I have settled on the VOX VT100. I played on it for many hours a over a month or so and am really quite impressed with its sound. My thought is that while I think it is pretty much the best sounding amp on the market for my needs, are these reliable? I think they are quite new (I could be wrong).
Does anyone own one of these? Could you share your experiences here?

BTW: For those questioning if an 8 year old needs this amp, the answer is no. But I really need it to finish this album I am working on. The sounds are right on target for this project and I can't get this tone on my amp. I get to kill two birds with one stone.
