I'm preparing to build my first home studio & I have a VOX Super Continental Organ V303, & was wondering what amp to record it w/.

Try direct first it may suprise you.

indeed direct first & if you have a link out via a DI box try it thru a valave amp of some sort. I once ran a vox continental thru a vortexian 50watt head & a 12" speaker that I can't remember the brand of (think it was an eminence)
& it was brilliant
I'd probably mic the amp using a 57 or a beyer dynamic & some sort of condensor in the room

wow.. i have the same keyboard.. my Dad used it on the road (black keys white shaps & flats)... .. i've seen pics of him in the studio w/ his Leslie 145 mic'd up and running that Vox

cruiser have you any idea what sort of mics your ol' man's leslie was miked with?? I've got an unhealthy obsession with mics & gear & everything to do with the studio hence the question
