are there any pots available that are like...good for rolling off gain. most of the ones i noticed, when you roll off its almost the same sound until the last 1/8th turn.
I don't know what your application is, but it could be the pots you are concerned with have the wrong taper. Our loudness perception is logarithmic, so generally gain control pots have a logarithmic (aka audio) taper, as opposed to linear taper.are there any pots available that are like...good for rolling off gain. most of the ones i noticed, when you roll off its almost the same sound until the last 1/8th turn.

A tone bleed would help your volume pot have more effectiveness in that area, but I don't think a new pot will help much, if at all.
A treble bypass cap will just keep your guitar from loosing highs as you roll of the volume (and make your guitar brighter in the first place - which is why I'm not that fond of them).
