So has anyone used any TC-HELICON products, such as voicelive. Its expensive but seems the vocals are greatly enhanced, and the price may just be worth it.
Most vocal processors are a waste of money. If you need more then some simple delay or reverb to spice up your vocals you probably shouldn't be subjecting other people to your singing.
I have had the VoiceLive for about a year and although it is without question pricey have never regretted the purchase. I've plugged both condensor (it has phantom power) and dynamic mics into it and am very pleased with the results. The harmony, although the best of the lot IMHO, requires extensive tweaking, practice in order to yeild some decent results. I say practice because it is very unforgiving when you sing off key. As a result, I feel it has improved my ability to sing on key. It also has pitch correction but to be honest it will only correct minor imperfections in pitch. The bottom line, it won't transform an average vocal performance into a great vocal performance. There is nothing I know of that compensates for a lack of talent which I think is where Tex was going with his comment. As a vocal strip, the added goodies notwithstanding, it does what it does very well.
