I am needing to record some voice prompts for an application.

I would like to record a bunch of them in a single take and then highlight each section and do essentially a 'save as' of just the selected bit. I haven't seen how to do that in n-track or should I just use a simple wav editor like cool edit 2000.

File>Mixdown

You can hit the "More Options" button to save just specific tracks or intervals.

Look in the Help file.

Thanks, found it.

Frankly though I was thinking more along the lines of highlight a section and select 'save selection as'. Considering the number of times I will have to do that I think that I should just get a cheap wav editor.
