When recording vocals do you all double the vox? If so, do you pan left or right or keep them in the middle?

depends on the style of music and what effect you are going for....do what sounds good to you....listen to some of your influnces and see what they are doing....try getting the lead vocal to a comfortable level, then bring up the level of the double until it sounds good...it probably won't need to be as loud as the first...if you like it, keep it, if not, pan them then bring them up together.
