Vocalist needed - Hungerstrike

Hey guys, I need a singer to collaborate on 'Hungerstrike' by Temple of the Dog. I have a backing track I'm pretty happy with. For those of you who don't know the song it's originally sung by Chris Cornell and Ed Vedder...pretty good singers, so I'm not gonna touch it! I know it's a long shot but if anyone feels inclined, gimme a shout. Cheers.

Have a cold right now but later I would like to test out my gt-57.
Have the album too. Cold just hit me today :( So I'm out for a while.

I have the original, so if you put up an MP3, I'll see if I can do it. Then you can decide what to do with the vocals, if they turn out... :D

It would be cool if FS and I were able to pull something off using both our vocals. Course it may beyond my abilities, but I love trying.... :D

You're not alone there. I am going to have to plug this in to check range. For some reason that song is escaping me. I know it's why I bought the album though. remember lost of the others. Must be this TheraFlu crap I'm taking :D

Sure NL! Guys before I get too excited I should say i'm so very new to recording and mixing music. So don't ge mad okay? :o I also might have to lay down a guide vocal track maybe, to be deleted afterwards even though I'm tone deaf.
 
One other thing guys if you wanna process your own vocals thats cool, fire away, or give me some pointers! I'm terrible at mixing vocals so I wouldn't know what delays or verbs to use if ya wanna make the sound a bit more wet.
 
I'm a big fan of the song/band(s)/time period for music. I'd give it a try but in reality I wouldn't expect much heh. Got a new preamp might be fun to test it out.

What did you get Gary? I just got a cheap one also...A Presonus, with an MXL mic.... :D
 
Hey Ed, got my yearly January "christmas" bonus so i spoiled myself a bit. Went with the grace design 101 ribbon version. My fiance surprised me and got me an sm7 for christmas and the thing is a power hog, I had no choice really (thats what im sticking with). Now when my vocals are off it's with the clarity of the hope diamond (or..ya know..something clear).

Looking forward to hear your new gear in action man. If you got something, link me up.

Here's a collab I started on today....just a scratch, but it's shaping up.

The mic thins my voice out some, and the Pre put a bit of dirt in there....I'm liking it so far...for $130..... :D
