Vocal sequencer?

So I own a midi sequencer keyboard and it inputs pitches onto my DAW. It's kind of weird, but I think I write riffs best straight from my mind by just sounding them out with my mouth. Is there some sort of vst or something where I can just record my voice and the pitches all align in my DAW? That would be amazing.

Do you mean a microphone? Are you looking for something that will convert your vocal tones to MIDI data?

Yes and very difficult software-wise. Few people can sing perfect pitches and your voice is not a single frequency.

Too many people watch magic computers on TV shows....

I get what you mean. Sonar has a plugin called V-Vocal that you can use to transcribe your voice to midi data but its a relatively long process
