Vocal rock tune - feedback/opinions please!!!

Hi guys. This is a fairly new outing for me (vocals). I'm trying to write rock/pop stuff these days. What do you think? Any advice, feedback etc would be appreciated.

It's a good mix. It's a good song. The drums sound too clean to be real, lol...but they're not bad. I like the layers...the clean electric and the acoustic are nice. Panning's maybe a little extreme, but maybe not. The weakest part to me is the distorted rhythm git, and it's not bad at all.

Agreed. How many vocal trax you got hiding there? All in all I think it sounds pretty good! I thought the guitar solo should have gone somewhere else, quiet maybe? Maybe it dragged out a little too? Nice tune though!
 
Thanks fellas. I am actually thinking about dumping the guitar solo - it's too cliche'. I went in last night and made the bridge part under the lead different - adding some harmonic movement - if I do keep a solo it will have to be different now. I'll feel that out. I also got some similar tips on other boards about the drums - I am going to try and grease them up a bit with compression and eq.

Just 2 vocal tracks - the low part with a higher harmony. Obviously I am not a singer by trade, but working on it!!

The dist. rhythm guitar is 1 dimensional - I'm going to try and beef that up too.

Great suggestions guys - thanks for listening and posting! Keep 'em coming - this is what I need!
