Hi there, I,m new to all this, and I need HELP. Problem - I have a 500MHz Intel Pentium III with MMX, 128 MB, 9.6 GB, with a 4x write/ 24x read c.d burner, it says sound is 3-D Stereo, PCI 32-bit sound. NOW... I need to know how to record vocals, and use my midi files from Yamaha QY300 sequencer/midi file player for backing, onto the c.d burner, to record a demo c.d. PLEEEEZ help...Ta immensely
Get a nice vocal microphone i.e. AKG 3000S, Rode NT1, AKG 414, Audio Technica AT8033 or the Shure SM58 if you are on a budget. Get your tracks recorded in your sequencer with the midi backing track. Mixdown your songs into the Line Input of your soundcard into your harddisk. You may want to consider better sound card than your average gaming sound card. Event, Midiman, Gadget Labs produce very good stuff of this sort. I think from your harddisk you should be able to get these songs burned to CD.
