Does anyone know of any good vst plugins for vocal mixing and mastering.
I know of one I use called Izotope ozone but I am looking of something better.
If anyone can help, that would be great!
Shoutout from Real Beatz HR family.

'Vocal plugins?
How about just decent tools'? ;)
An eq
A compressor or two in a few different styles (although, it should be said that your volume and gain automation stomps all over compressors as far as effectiveness and getting to a good mix..
Some reverb
Some delay

What else..?

I am going to try to be as nice as possible here, but it may not come across as such.

If you are unable to achieve quality tracks without use of a program like Ozone, then you are surely not qualified to give opinion as to what mics are best for recording (one of you other posts in the mic forum). In order to have such an opinion, you would need to have not only used the microphones, but an understanding by using the gear in a well treated environment with gear that is worthy of using such. I am just going to guess that none of that is the case here. Sorry if I am incorrect in my judgement.

Keep in mind that just because this site is called 'home recording' does not mean there are not a huge amount of very experienced members here. Many have worked in big studios professionally or still do. Even the ones that have, still have home studios. Some worth more than our homes themselves.

I hope that you actually paid for Ozone 5, and didn't just get the cracked version of Ozone 4. I am not going to judge you there as I do not know first hand. But it is typically the ones who come to this forum that have an arrogance about what they know and share knowledge that is not competent, that tend to be the same ones who steal software.

I could be wrong, but I have seen this happen over and over. I will give my personal advice (whatever that is worth) after hearing the way you respond to this post.

And by the way, thanks for the Shoutout. :)

Welcome to the forum. I hope your response is genuine and I am wrong about you.

I've tried and used a fair amount of stuff and I find the Jack Joseph Puig Signature Series to have an excellent vocal "plugin"

JJP Artist Signature Series | Bundles | Waves

It handles many vocal requirements and I've had great results with it. It's currently $500 (for full set), but I think you can buy the separate vocal plugin for $100. They will occasionally have the whole thing on sale for around $150, so look out for that. Much of the set is solid. I also own the Tony Maserati Series which I don't recommend at all.

ez mix got some good presents for vocals. you can check out their vocal packs too. cool plugin and definitely worth money

Hey dudes, FYI today's MF Deal of the Day is iZotope Nectar Elements Vocal Processing Software, while it lasts, $29 USD.

It's a pretty good in-the-box presets-kinda-thing VOX plug in, if you are just looking for comp/EQ/de-esser/gate and pitch corrector. Not a whole lot of tweaking under the hood so to speak, but at $29 on sale (usually $100), it's worth it.

Less than stunning reviews, in general. I don't need to spend $30 for another EQ or compressor, but for someone who doesn't have much for plugins, or wants to be able to do qa quick preset choice when mixing, might be a good bet.

Looks like you guys scared the OP away. He's gone. Can I be a baby and mention that you went off topic and the OP hasn't been back? :laughings:

Of course I don't believe that anyone actually got scared away, but I just wanted to show that we can accuse anyone of anything if we want to picky enough.....and whiny enough. :D

Carry on. I'm staying away from the OT forums. But it's pretty funny that the first and only thread I happened to look at had an OP that didn't come back after their first post. I'm sure there are many others, but I think my point is made. Have a good one. I know I will. :)

If you had checked, you'd see he started 4 other threads around the same time, posted some inane and invalid ideas and suggestions a few times. Then disappeared.

OK, everybody relax. I was just having some fun. This place could use more of that, it's like a morgue around here. Anyway, I'm staying out of the OT forums. Just dropped by to inject some life into this hole. I'm out. :)

:D

You'll be back and you know it. :)
