vocal maxium?

Listen guys, i have had the hardest time coming up with really GREAT vocal- the tracks are great but i can this whole (verb,compressor,delay,ect....) thing down to create powerfull vocals!

I need some help to create them in the studio and also in a live setting....
dreaming here about haveing those amazing FAT,PHAT vocals ....... in a live performace as well as in my studio.

A michael boltan type stack on the vocals, from a clean george strait.... i need them , i want them,,, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what do i need to by and how do i set it?????

First of all....you need a great performance, second, a really good, large diaphram condensor mic, some good effects, some comp., and most importantly........a good ear!!!!!!
