Hey everyone I'm a complete newbie hoping that maybe some serious veterans of sound here will know what I'm talking about. Heres my set up. I have a Marshall MXLV69 mic going into a Mackie 406M. I am using a Lexicon MPX1 on the whole mix live going into a Tascam DA78. I have perfect clean sound. And that is the problem. I want to add warmth, roundness with a bit of lowfi electricity to the vocal and acoustic guitar. The sound I seek is similar to Sparklehorse or the Elected. I think they do it with compression or an exciter but does anyone know what kind of unit that might be. Other artists that come to mind would be Dido or Luna. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Chris
