Vocal Booths

Hi I have a 4x4x9 vocal booth I built in my garage but for some ready my vocals don't give me the sound I want the whole booth is padded even door I use a good mic and good preamp when I eq vocals I don't hear much change on the outside

The size could be a problem, a square room? Worst shape, also very small. If you have padded the whole thing with foam there will be no top end as it is all sucked up, whereby the lows and lower mids are not being effected.
