Vocal Booth

I have this room in my basement that was originaly supposed to be a bedroom but I made it into my "recording studio" anyways, I have this space that was supposed to be a closet but was never finished, it measures 7'9"x2'4"x7'8". Could I make that into a vocal booth or is it too small, I can fit in there fine. Also what should i do to it (e.g. soundproofing/cable running). My friend thinks that vocal booths should be live but I think they should be fairly dead. What should i do? any help would be appreciated.
 
You must be a small person. 2'4" is small.

I agree about a vocal room being live most of the time if you can swing it but for that small it wont work at all. Have to kill it but the main prob there is, as soon as you start applying anything you'll be under 2'. Any chance on making that depth any bigger?
 
No, unfortunately everything is already framed and carpeted and stuff. I'm attaching a layout of the room, any suggestions where I could put stuff?
