I need to treat a small closet sized room for vocals. It is roughly 3'(w)x 5'(L)x 8'(h), with a glass door entrance.

I'm currently rereading Ethan’s guide. I was at first going to pad it out with foambymail foam, but then read auralex works much better. Is foam the best option to deaden the room? If so would 2" wedge foam with some lenrd corner traps held the best results? What are other options besides foam that you would recommend?

Thanks,

Going with foam...

My partner in crime is apparently dead set on a foam solution. That said, The Auralex roomenator Project 2 kit should be about the right amount of foam for the vocal booth and I've found it for $400 which is $100 under the usual price. It comes with 8 lenrds, but are bass traps right for a booth? I would think you need to tame lower frequency just the same as the high. There are only 3 corners in the booth capable to fit the lenrds though.

If the booth is 8' tall would it be best to have the lenrds best control the sound in the upper and lower corners or should I keep them surrounded around where the mic's will rest? Or should I skip the bass traps and just use strait up 2" wedge foam?

Thanks
