Violet Design Mics

I had never heard of these mics until I saw a video review of them on EQmag.com/video probably a few years ago now. there was a shootout between a few of the Violet mics on an acoustic guitar VS an SM81 using very sterile preamps to get just the character of the mic. the Violet stood up against it perfectly. It was just a matter of taste which sound you liked better to me. They also tried of few of the large diaphram condensers on voice that was done along with the guitar.

ya this is really neat! Thanks for that link. i just would like to know more about this brand, you know? their new so it seems like it would be the best time to grab one of these mics.
 
What do you want to use the microphone for? Looks like it would be appropriate in most all applications.

a basic all around mic. vocals, acoustic instruments, maybe experimental things. Just wanna know if anyone has used any of these mics, or this one in particular.
