does anyone have any preferences or recommendations on what companies are better/cost efficient at pressing vinyl?

This is the place I dig...

http://www.urpressing.com/

Didn't do loads of research, though. URP was recommended to me by a friend, so I went with 'em. I don't regret it, and will continue to use them. They got some cool shit too like 10 inch vinyl & drop shipping to whatever address you got in various quantities to save you on having all the wax shipped to you only to be shipped out again to its' final destination(s).

Sorry I can't offer up any kind of comparisons of price, quality, or service. URP was all good to me the first rip, so now they gets my money whenever it's time for wax.

good luck,

I got a quick question for anyone here. I noticed that URP seems really strict about sample clearance. If I am only pressing a hundred records it seems basically pointless to clear the sample. There is no way I am going to recoup that money. Are all places so strict. I know the arguements, but if I sample, chop and change it so that you and you can't tell what it is, why should I pay a royality besides the obvious "Well, they won't press it then".

You asked this question in the Analog Forum, which I had answered for you.
Please don't cross-post.
