I am interested in capturing my vinyl records to CD before they deteriorate and I can't listen to them.
Could someone with much more experience (which would be anyone) educate me on the hardware and software I will need?

Thanks!

You need a turntable, a hi-fi amp with a phono input (assume you've got these already), a cable to connect your amp to your soundcard (most likely, RCA phono connectors at one end, 1/8th" stereo jack at the other), software to record to (I use Soundforge XP which is £50 - there's loads of others), a CD burner/writer and CD writing software. The CD writing software is often supplied with the CD writer. This question's been asked quite a few times on this site, so if you do a Search on "vinyl" and "computer", or similar, you should get more info if you need it:)
