yeah I do...its just a bugbear...knocking $50 of something used compared to new is a bit unrealistic....there's about four or five local items coming up in a cycle for weeks now..dudes lower your prices, simple really

Yeah...I see that crap all the time...theres this one eq that has been on for 8 solid months because I went to another of his sales last spring and the dude tried to sell it to me too....you would think he would lower the price or give up or something.

I've got several old guitars, Tiescos from the 60s, I never think of them as vintage, they barely qualify as collectable but for some odd reason I like them, they are great conversation pieces and look cool hanging on the wall (I have good guitars for playing and oddball ones for decoration.) I seriously doubt any of them sold for more than $50 new and $25 was the most I paid for any of them (I like yard sales.) I have seen similar models listed on CL as vintage for many more $ and had a good laugh about it. I guess P. T. Barnam was right when he said, "There is a sucker born every minute."

I've gotten two very good deals on pedals on Craigslist, from individuals.

A Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble, virtually untouched, for $35.

A Fulltone OCD in excellent condition for $80.

Pedals are usually a good deal on Craigslist, as are used mics and other miscellaneous stuff. Guitars not so much but I see the occasional deal.

I have seen Tiescos from the 60s going for thousands online...I had one early on...it was blue with 4 pickups and had 4 on top and 2 on bottom on the headstock...I paid $20 for it...seen it going for $4000

At least in regards to vehicles, "vintage" is 20 years old. I assume technically this applies to guitars as well, which insanely means that 1989 is vintage. The term "vintage" has taken on such a positive connotation that people tend to forget it's just a fancy word for 20 years or older.

Id think it only applies to the fine things...like you dont see many trailer homes from the 80s called vintage...or bottles of Boones farm
