Vintage Ovation Vipers?

Ok.. so this might be a reallllly dumb question... but does anyone like the old electric Ovation Vipers from the 70's?

Ones like these or similiar:

For some reason I really like the way they look..

From what I have read, they sound similiar to a Strat but fatter.

Anyone have any experience?

LOL oh man I havent seen one of those in years. My friend had one back in middle school and high school (like '89-'90ish). It was a hunka poop as far as I'm concerned. Maybe it was a lemon but I never remember being too taken with the thing. Those giant knobs and those pickups that are in the "not a humbucker, not a single-coil, not even a mini-humbucker" purgatory.

But for $10, sheesh, I've smoked things that cost more than that! What have you got to lose?
