I've been researching old tube mics and have often heard that they were a bit of a pain, as they required regular maintenance. I'm just wondering what was involved in this.
Any insights? Was it adjusting filament voltage? Plate voltage? Changing tubes? Cleaning the diaphragm? replacing components?
