Don't stare at the eye.
The following video is:

  1. Four minutes of your life you won’t get back.
  2. What happens when a guitar hack wants to play with his new video software.
  3. Another diversion from writing and recording a real song.
  4. All of the above.

Decide for yourself here.

You forgot option 5: Impressive

I choose option 5. Nice work. And congrats on the new software!

well..ya already know what I think of it, but of course, I'll tell ya again!!...just wish I could listen on a proper system.

Some GREAT wankery going on and wonderful video useury...very talented Mr Strat...very talented indeed...oh but wait...is this a good example of songwriting..?:eek::D

Hey, I meant to ask...what kind of axe is that? I couldn't get it...DOT something? I LOVE that color and it has a great tone to it Strat!

i must have the slowest computer in the world.

It's one of my own sites--not exactly a server farm, so the down speed ain't great for a high res video either. Sorry...

(Keep trying though)

It's an Epi Dot Studio, isn't it? I just wonder if you're using your amp or your POD. Either way...sounds great.

Oh yeah, and is the Guit modded at all like your Les Paul? Or is it stock? Cuz if it's all stock, I've found my next purchase.

Yep, it's a Dot Studio--I've always thought it played way beyond it's price tag. I picked it up cheap used because I wanted a semi-hollow flavor. Obviously here I'm using it more like one would a Les Paul. But I move in moods with my guits, and lately that one's really been doing it for me.

It is modded--a lot of it's cosmetic, but the pickups are replacements too: SH-4 in the bridge and a jazzier SH-2 in the neck.

The sound was the pod. That's sorta my signature patch, and for this test I went right into the camera (my camera's got 2 mic inputs with preamps so I was able to keep a nice stereo spread). Next time, I'm gonna try with the amp and run some mics into it.

I assumed it was your POD (not because it sounded fake, but it sounded very "Anthem"-ish :D).

That pickup combo is killer. It's what I have in my Schecter (C-1 Classic), and I love it. The only thing missing from that Guit is a true coil-split. I'll definitely have to look into finding a dot studio on the cheap now. Thanks again for contributing to my G.A.S.

Damn dude...I'm impressed! Seriously. I love to watch fingers on fretboards and this was cool.

Fine chops there boss and sound quality was good on this end too.

What kind of software didja get and is it for computer illiterates? :D

I'm confused - it's neither white, nor a Strat?!?!?!?! :D

The video is quite impressive looking, and the playing is phenomenal!

Great work all the way around!

:D :D :D

Thanks Mr. Breath. Sorry--the software isn't for computer illiterates. It's both expensive and complex. I do more and video at my day job, but still not enough to get them to set up an editing suite at work. When I lost my computer about a month ago--they ponied up for all new video software for my home rig. Not a bad deal. (BTW--in case you wanna look it up, it's Final Cut Pro Studio 2 & Shake 4; I'm just scratching the surface...)

Y'know, I really do have a white Strat--for years it was my only guit--thus the name. I promise to shoot something with it next--just to prove it.

And thanks for the kind words--means a ton to me.

Strat,

I've been wondering where you were. Now I know, no computer and a new expensive hobby. Loved the vid. Nice work and great sound.

Yeah, just what I need--another expensive hobby. Which is why I'm trying hard to resist your post in the evil classified section!:eek:
