Just another guy, really.
Got a SF Deluxe Reverb that I love. Vintage JBL speaker in it needs to be reconed, but that's just a trip to my fav speaker shop away. Scored a trio of EV 10's- the ones with the absurdly heavy magnets that almost as big as the speakers (can't recall where I put them at the mo, so I can't tell you model numbers.)

I am wondering if I might want to cut a 2X10 baffle board and install the EV's in the DR, thus making myself an almost Vibrolux? I'd cut a new baffle and use new speaker cloth, so that the original would be preserved, 'natch. Anybody have any similar experience? Thanks.

If 2 10's can fit the baffle board, fine. My concern is will there be enough wood left to hold the weight of the EV's--a pair of Jensens or similar would be fine, though.

Get an empty extension cab and call it a day.

I'll probably do that as a test, but I like carrying fewer, not more, boxes, so ultimately, it'll be either 112 or 210, but not both.

But, does anybody have experience comparing 112 with 210's, driven by the same (hopefully similar to my DR_ amp?
