Recording Modus Operandi
I was wondering if anyone has had the upgrade and what they think of it.

I had mine upgraded a month ago . The presets changed quite a bit and most of the new ones are not applications I would realisticly use. There is and was no documentation of what the upgrade changes were that I'm aware of. Turnaround was about a month. The changes most definitely did not degrade a fantastic processor so you may as well get the upgrade if you can bear to part wiyh your VG-88 for a month or so.

How did you set it up with Roland to get it upgraded? Did you have to go to an authorized dealer, or contact them directly?

Call 323-890-3700 ext.2289 between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM Mon-Fri. Ask for a return Authorization # and instructions on shipping.You aren't ignorant Roland probably taught Saddam how to hide shit. If somehow you lose this info go to the Roland US web site look in What's New on the home page and look in press releases the info is there.Good luck.

You have to contact them directly,dealers and service centers can't do the upgrade.
