O.K. , had my VF-16 for a little bit now and can do most things but this one has been drivin me nuts. What the heck is Varipitch and what the heck do I do with it?????

Variable Pitch

Stratamatic,

There are a few uses for the pitch control. I used to use it when I was exchanging tracks with others and adding to songs. A lot of recorders record at slightly different speeds. I can take a track from someone elses recorder and set my tracks to that recorders speed with the pitch control allowing "matchup" of the speed from their actual recording. Also, the pitch can be used (for slight variations) when you want to change the pitch to match an instrument you want to record that might have a fixed tuning and you cannot tune it to the other instruments you have already recorded.
Those are the 2 I am familiar with and have actually used the pitch control for those purposes.
If anyone else has used it for something else, I would be happy to hear those. It's always a forever learning curve.

Strato,
A simpler use is.....when you've got a voice like Jabba the Hut (ie me!) a little varipitch can help after everything else is recorded of course.
Also varipitching makes it a bugger for others to pick up their guitar (tuned to concert pitch) and play along with your classic material. Am I being childish?
