Never tried this before even though I've been recording on the MR8 for almost two years. Say I have recorded my lead vocals on one track and on another track I want to record the harmonies just on the choruses. How is the best way to do this without playing the whole song all the way through. I thought about punch in and out, but then I thought why not just start recording on the chorus or fast forward through the verses. What's the best way?

doing parts

id use the locate a and locate b function to set the point to start and end recording, enter that point in the mr8 and arm the record function.

i guess it really is kind of like punching in, except on a different channel

you can just advance to a point right before the harmony starts and start recording from there, stop and fast forward to the next part...

That's what I do and it works well.

vocal parts

Ed's suggestions are probably the easiest. I've had success copying and pasting vocals. Record a chorus once and paste to where you need it. And timing wasn't a problem and only have to nail the harmonies one time. My two cents. Pj

I think I will use, from this day forward what will be called, the Ed method.
Thanks guys
