Hey guys I been recording on cool edit pro for years through my mackie board...basic set-up...mackie board ran through the input on my computer...did a ton of recordings like this and they came out powerful. I recorded the drums on a roland digital board and uploaded them to cool edit.

I am now working at a studio that has a pro tools set up with pre amps, the protools board etc...using the same micing techniques etc on pro tools the sound so much thinner then the cool edit recordings and its killing me! Would anyone have any ideas? I do know that the monitors are pretty far apart in the new place as my monitors at home are fairly close to each other not sure if that's the problem. Here's a link to my band which I recorded on cool edit.

Any ideas guys?

Thank you
Joe
