I like my recordings.
well, this will be Chapter 1 of 2.

I really need some help in this EXPERIMENT I will make,
but the base of it, is in get a signal of any kind, but a signal from the trigguer in an acoustic snare, tom or kick...

1) ACOUSTIC drums.

the first Question, maybe dummi but important cause I dont have a drum trigguer (YET) is:

if I put the trigguer, lets say in my acoustic snare and I conect it to my mixer's preamp (mackie 1642), and turn up the gain, all the way up or I dont know, something, can it generate a signal????
when the drum is hited, of course...

maybe a "click" (like I hope so) or a "tit"--> SOMETHING!??

WELL, any of you that have a trigguer and an acoustic drum can please try it....??
try to record it if it works.

thanks, if the phase 1 works, getting a signal, perhaps a "click" I will continue with phase 2. :D

I hope this works cause it will be really cool. C-ya, and I am waiting for some feedback... (reply not a nasty sound from the monitors.)

C'mon,
can anyone try it....?

drum, trigguer, mixer, perhaps a signal...

maybe a "click" (like I hope so) or a "tit"--> SOMETHING!??

Nope, I tried and no "tit" I'll try again tonight. :D :D

Sorry man, I just couldn't help myself.

I can't imagine why you would ever want to connect a trigger to a pre-amp. Pre-amps are strictly for microphones. A trigger is strictly for MIDI.

Drum modules (and maybe other MIDI devices) have settings you can change to adjust the sensitivity of your triggers. This is kind of like a pre amp, but it operates VERY differently. You might get some kind of weird noise by connecting a trigger to a preamp (is this what you are trying to do?). I doubt it would be something you would want as part of a musical composition, especially when with sound fonts or softstynths you could have hundreds of "clicks" to choose from.

"Tits" are much hard much harder to get, unless you are a lead singer.
