I just purchased the m-Audio Omni Studio with Delta 66 Audio Card. For some reason, Vegas v 1.0 will not recognize the Delta 66 in the "Options/Preferences/Routing" section. The Delta 66 options are listed but I cannot select options for busses other than the Microsoft Sound Mapper. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Can the Microsoft Sound Mapper be turned off? The other soundcard in my machine is a Crystal Sound Fusion card, but I think I was able to disable it. Any help is appreciated; I really want to start using the Omni Studio to see what it is capable of. Thanks

There should be a place to select either "Microsoft Sound Mapper" or "Custom Bus Routing" right above where the options are listed.

For some reason, I don't get that option. I'm wondering if it is a software glitch. I thought maybe the program just isn't recognizing it and there was a way to check that. Thanks.

You could do this...

Try uninstalling, then reinstalling Vegas 1.0.

That might help.?.?.?

I've got 2 ideas.

Windows settings
Make sure "use only preferred devices" is not checked in your control panel audio/multimedia (whatever they happened to call it in your flavor of Windows).

Drivers
Make sure you're using the latest drivers for your OS.

Thanks to everyone for their input. I went ahead and upgraded to Vegas 2.0 and this situation is no longer a problem.
