ok. vegas 4, latest build, etc.

here's the situation:
-recorded a track.
-so it's now on the timeline
-i thought it was good, but relized it actually sucks.
-i want to delete it - not only from the timeline/vegas, but also from the harddrive. how do i do this!?! (without having to open up that fricken media viewer thing, finding the track i want to get rid of, and right clicking and going to "delete from vegas and harddisk")???

thankya.

I usually number my all of my "takes", because I keep ALL of the files for the specific song in the same folder.

Therefore, once I am finished with all of my recordings, I go into the folder to delete the unwanted takes.

Also.............

If you are recording and you don't like what you are recording, just press cancel. It will cancel the recording and it will delete the file from the hard drive.

And.................

You could also setup the loop function when recording. It will continue recording the same set space of recording. Once you are finished recording the multiple takes open, up Sound Forge. Then, delete the "takes" you don't want.

Or...............

If you could save the finished song as a VEG" file and check mark the box Copy and trim media with project. That will save all of the files that you are actually using. You can then go to the folder with all of the files that you are/are not using and delete all of them.

Once you open up your Veg zip file it will have all of the necessary WAV. files. :)
