Ok I have pretty much decided on a vf160 and a vc8 converter
so I can record 16 tracks at once if i want for portable live stuff.
My question is If i get the vc8 and a adat card for editing in cool edit pro. I want to be able to use nothing but the vc8 and adat
card for recording with a mixer at home without using the vf160.
Now cool edit has 16 bit and 24 bit options for recording but I know that the vc8 and adat card is only 20 bit, I think,
so will i only be able to record at 16 bit with cooledit or what.
