I've been recording for ages using an M-Audio firewire device, but I needed more channels so got a TASCAM US-1800.
I'm now seeing a weird problem on the TASCAM.
I create a basic midi track to trigger a drum sound on an outboard sound module and then record it back on an audio track. Easy. I then record it again and the new audio track is out of synch with the original, I do it again and it's out of synch again, and so on. What I'm finding is that I can do this a number of times and the timing on the recorded audio tracks can vary by up to around 100ms, when actually they should all be spot on.
I'm using Sonar 4 and have also tried it on Sonar 8 with the same problem.
Any ideas would be welcomed. See attached image, recorded at 120bpm.
Thanks,
Phil.
Tascam us-1800, driver 2.02
Windows 7 32
Intel core i5-3450 @ 3.1Ghz
4 Gb RAM
Virtual memory fixed at recommended value
SATA internal hard drives.
