I am completely bald. I don't know why I thought you were in
England. Must have been another poster. I'm right next
door to you in Tennessee. But, I'm not a hillbilly.
I'm from Oregon. And we don't take shit
from people like Bloodshit who lives in a hairy
devil anus. His mother I'm sure is very proud
of his living arrangements. I would think it would
be a bit malodorous. He reminds me of an old saying by
Vasudev: The sign of intelligence is that you are constantly
wondering. Idiots are always dead sure about every
damn thing they are doing in their life.

Anyone in my opinion who calls someone a dick they don't know
without the slightest bit of provocation must be a bit of
a dick themselves.

I am one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet until
provoked beyond belief like I have been for asking a simple
question on this board. Obviously there is a good old boy
club on this site and anyone who tries to enter is a troll.

I have music I've mixed and recorded posted all over the place.
On YouTube, Sound Cloud, and Dueling Mixes websites.
It is not like I'm hiding anything as many have insinuated.

Oh yeah, just ignore the guy with no proof and he'll
go away. You don't have to ignore me. I'm going
away on my own to a group who is a bit more accepting.
I would bet any one of you I could have posted this
exact same question on some other top recording websites
and would have gotten at least a couple of GENERAL IDEAS
from experienced mixers on what the problem could be.
Obviously not here. I think I'll post the question in
the DM forum just out of curiosity to see how they
respond. Again, I would wager an Andrew Jackson
it would be different. And there are some
top notch professional mixers on the site.
Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. But I'm working
on it.

Does not have to be a "Well you need to notch out
the frequency at 120Hz 3dB or change the attack or
release on your compressor by such and such amount
or carve out a place in the frequency range for the
acoustic guitars." Jesus it was a simple general question.

I get detailed, specific diagnostic information monthly
on mixes I post for evaluation on the Dueling Mixes website.
Some of it is positive. Some of it is, "You are way off the mark, need to
get rid of all the plugins, listen more carefully, and start
over."

I am busy and I don't have any RECENT recordings posted
on SoundCloud basically because of lack of time, and, because
the CD I am working on is a work in progress. I work a full time job
and music is a hobby.

Because of the total bashing I've received on
this site, I have learned one valuable lesson. If you ask a general question
as I have asked, post a musical example with it, because the group
will go ape shit if you don't.

For those of you who actually gave answering the question a shot...
it is appreciated.

Just what the hell are you ranting about? I actually took the time to listen to some of your stuff and must say that it wasn't bad. It's different, but I certainly wouldn't call it bad by any means. The mixes could be better, but that's what this place exists for: to help people improve. Quit the crazy rants and enjoy yourself. If you'd like more details about what you could to improve the mix just let me know. I'll tell you this though: I've heard a hell of alot worse! And you have nothing to be embarrassed about by any means. Good luck!

I went back and read the post from the start, the trouble started when he wanted suggestions without anyone actually hearing the mixes. It was suggested that he post the songs and there seemed to be attitude develop from there.

I had a listen and it did not sound that bad at all.

Xplo: Well thank you for the positive comment about the music on Sound Cloud. 90% of them are not my songs...but are songs I mixed.
I started mixing about seven months ago. So yes of course there is a lot yet to be learned, but I'm getting tons of feedback monthly and slowing crawling forward. This is not about the music though, it is about asking a general music question and having a group of wolves call you troll, tell you you are basically a dumb fuck, you don't know what you're doing, you've got shitty equipment, and saying you've basically have not done shit the last ten years--all of which is not true. Amazing what people will assume. Welcome to the Home Recording Forum. Not to be the grammar specialist from hell, but a lot has been and always will be two words. Good luck to you too Xplo. You need to calm down. You can't get mad at people for making assumptions when you yourself demand they "guess" at what's wrong with your mixes. See how that works? Assumptions and guesses are basically the same thing. You asked for assumptions.

See how that works? Why wouldn't you just post a mix here? You actually post a mix, you get good responses. Demanding everyone "guess" what's wrong with your mixes is silly and you're bound to get a wide spectrum of everything.

There, another learning moment for you. I'm helping you all over the place and you're raging too hard to even see it.
