I'm going to re-record the guitar part, tried to come up with something in one take.

Also, I'm not sure how to EQ the cello when it's in the same range as my voice. Is it generally better to do subtractive on the fundamentals than additive? I don't know what the fundamental frequencies are for cello though.

The cello sounds nice and clear - what mic/pre/position are you using for that?

The panning of guitar and cello allow them to be easy to distinguish.

The vocals are nicely seated in the center.

I'm using an AT4047, a Firebox, and I think I aimed the mic at the neck, not too sure though. It seems that no matter where I place the mic, I can get a pretty clear cello sound, not so with guitar. Probably because my cello's $3000, when my guitar's $300, and I've been playing cello for 10 years and guitar for 1
