Hi, Has anyone purchased cymbals from "BarginLand", who is an Ebay seller from Utah. If so how was the transaction? I've been tempted to bid on cymbals from BargainLand but the prices seem too good to be true. He has a 90.3% positive feedback which seems a little lower than average. Just curious, Thanks, Don

is that the seller with the platypus logo thing? the cymbals they sell are all cracked, which is why they are so cheap. even if you can't notice a crack in the picture, they give a item description that says that it is cracked or damaged (its like a 3 out of 5 star "condition" rating). if you buy from them, know that you are not getting a cymbal thats in great shape.

Thanks zed32

Hi zed32, Thanks for the reply. That's the guy! Now that I look closer at the cymbal I was going to bid on it has 2 cracks in it (that I can see.) I didn't see the disclaimer to the right that stated that the cymbal is cracked. I guess in my old age I'm not so observant. If you can properly repair cymbals it may be a good deal. Thanks again, Don

yeah, some of the cymbals they sell arent really too badly damaged, but they all are damaged. i have a friend who bought one from there and it only had like a 1/4" crack on the outer edge and still sounded pretty good. it was only like $24 at the end of the auction, i think it was a 16" Zildjian A medium crash or something similar. just gotta get lucky, because it's hard to tell how bad the cracks are based upon their crappy picture.

Thanks Zed32

Hey Zed32, Thanks, I had a really great sounding Paiste a while back that cracked. I made a poor repair on it and it continued to crack so bad I had to throw it away. Maybe I can get some cheap cracked cymbals from this guy and practice cymbal repairs. Thanks, Don

that might not be a bad idea. i was thinking of getting one of those cracked cymbals for cheap and using it as a lamp shade. :D :D
