using vsti in Reaper

My First time ever using a VSTI

OK, so i just bought ez drummer and it works fine in reaper. i was able to load patches, and change the files in the midi editor.
So i wrote this cool song and i was thinking, man i wonder if i could throw in some synth sounds over my cool song. So i was directed in the path of Superwave P8.
I downloaded it but i don't understand how to make music with it. I have no midi controler(yet). How can i make sound with this thing, is there some kinda virtual piano or something i can pull up and record synth sound with.
can i program sound all in the box,

hey, what do you think about the Axiom 49 in Reaper?

Does it work well as a controller?

I'm thinking about grabbing one.

Im not sure...there was an maudio controller that was having issues, called the "oxygen", but I think they fixed it

Maybe at the compat forum they will know.
