Can two soundcards be setup to output the same sound? I have an audiophile 24/96 for recording, and a Soundblaster PC128 (currently disabled) in my computer. I'd like to use the soundblaster just so I can listen through headphones while I am overdubbing. All mastering will be done using the audiophile.

Is this possible?

It all depends on your setup.....what program you are using and which drivers are needed to push each card.
need more info

With two soundcards for audio, you need to lock them together through the same clock. I don't think there's any way to do that with the SB PC128. It's another story if you just want the onboard synth on the second soundcard, since you just have to send it MIDI messages appropriately.

You say you want to do this "just so I can listen through headphones while I am overdubbing." I don't understand. Why can't you do this with the Audiophile?

guys, nevermind. Someone else solved my problem.....I had a button depressed on the mixer that I shouldn't have. Now I can do everything I want using the 1 soundcard
