using two sound cards at once advice needed..

I have a yamaha sw1000xg sound card for recording my own songs but i want to change things next week,i intend to buy another hard drive(i only have one just now)and run the operating system and whatever else on one drive and the yamaha card,recorded songs etc on the other.Ive heard the Yamaha works very easily alongside the creative cards,whats the best way to set all this up,as far as say im recording something with the Yamaha,i finish that then i want to play some mp3 or cd,s after this with the Creative audigy?,is it easy to switch from using one card onto another or can it be quite involved,thanks in advance for any advice
