Using Two Mics?

So i have an Sm57 that i place about 4 inches from the speaker around the "sweet spot" but i also have a pg57 that i would like to use to try and get a fuller sound....what would be some good positions for this?....some tell me putting a mic behind an open back cab is a good idea....but i need some suggestions on some things that might have worked for you guys...thanks

You could try putting it towards the edge of the same speaker your micing with the 57 to get a bassier tone.

Could you explain "phase issues" to me...i hear it mentioned alot and though i have a loose idea of what it means...i am by no means solid on that concept
