i have a zoom mrt-3 little drum machine, and i was wondering if there is anyway i could use triggers or somethin to make the sounds i program into the drum machine when i hit the pads...i want it to be more like playing an actual set, so i can devolope my skills without having to make a alot of noise and not spending too much. I really dont have any money at the moment but i really want to look into it. Just wondering if this makes any sense to anyone and if its possible at all. Thanks.

Does it have a MIDI IN?

If so, you can get a Trigger to MIDI Interface to connect pads to it.

A TMI is going to run close to $300 (USA), so you might be better off buying a *Used* Alesis Dm5 or D4 and using that instead.(It has trigger inputs built in.) I would never suggest buying one of these new - they just aren't worth the money. If you want to buy a new item, I would go for a Roland model.
