using the roland boss 900 cd

anyone using this equipment? i need to know how to work it using only the the 2 tracks at a time ,, i got a 4 peice band, (guitar,vocals,bass,drums) how would i mike the instruments together using only the 2 tracks ,, any suggestions would help tremendously,,thanks alot guys in advance!

You need to record on instrument at a time or upgrade to a BR1600. If there is a way I would worry about the quality and end results trememdously.

Piper...another solution would be to use an external mixing board and take the stereo outs into the deck. However...you would not be able to isolate any of the tracks from each other. This might be a practical way to put down your basic rythem track (ie..drums,bass,rythem guitar)...and then come back and ad vocals, harmonys, and leads individually.

I think putting the basic rythem track down live...can help give a more lively feel to a mix.
