Hey there!
I'm recording my own band, and I am using a few samples I have archived over time and my situation is this...While the sample sounds great by itself, I still need it to sound a bit bigger. Putting a plate or extra reverb on the sample tends to make it sound more fake but I still think that making it sound just little more in your face will bring up this whole mix.
